Why this works

Limiting the output to five structured elements — what they do, recent news, likely pain points, buyer title, and one hook — respects the actual time available before a cold outreach and prevents over-research paralysis. The 'one specific hook' instruction produces the most valuable element: the opening line that demonstrates you did homework. Connecting the company description directly to what you sell filters the research through a commercial lens rather than producing generic company information.

AI account research may not reflect the most current company information — funding rounds, leadership changes, and strategic pivots that happened in the last few weeks may not be captured. Cross-check the 'recent news' section against LinkedIn and the company's own newsroom before using it in outreach. A hook built on outdated information can damage your credibility with the prospect.
